Board of Directors - Curt Riffle
Ward 4 (Los Altos, Mountain View)
Curt Riffle was born in 1955 in Warren, Ohio. Curt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and a Master’s degree in business administration from Harvard University. In 2006, Curt was appointed to the Board of Directors and began duties as the Ward 4 Director. He currently works for the David and Lucile Packard Foundation in the Conservation and Science Program that focuses on the purchase of land and application of ecosystem-based management principles. Curt is a conservation professional dedicated to public service, with over 20 years of successful experience serving on committees, commissions, and boards, including roles as a traffic commissioner for the City of Los Altos, and chair of both the City’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee and Environmental Committee. He’s also donated his time to the District as a Special Project Volunteer. Curt and his wife have lived in the Los Altos/Mountain View area for more than 23 years. Having first experienced the District’s preserves and the County’s parks in 1976, Curt has continued to visit them at least weekly for years. Curt commutes to work on his bike and everyday he takes in the Black Mountain viewscape. He’s a hiker, trail runner, equestrian, and dog hiker. |
