Board of Directors - Mary Davey
Ward 2 (Cupertino, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Palo Alto, Stanford, Sunnyvale)
Mary Davey

Mary Davey was born in Chicago, Illinois and was raised in Columbus, Ohio. Mary attended Smith College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Government. Later, while working full-time, and out of a desire to bring a level of professionalism to her non-profit work, she earned her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Santa Clara.

For the last 40 years, Mary has been dedicated to improving the quality of midpeninsula life by actively working to improve the environment, housing, education, and services to elders. She was elected to the Los Altos Hills Town Council from 1966 until 1973, and served as Deputy Mayor to that community in 1967 and 1968. For her tireless efforts, she has received the Humanitarian Award from Hidden Villa, Woman of Achievement Award from the Santa Clara Commission on the Status of Women, and the Environmental Service Award from the Committee for Green Foothills.

Mary was one of the original members on the Steering Committee to form the District in 1972. She was elected to the District Board of Directors in 1994. For Mary, preservation of our wild lands for future generations is an important part of her work as a Board member.
