The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District invites artists to submit artwork (hand sketches/line drawings, watercolor, acrylic, or oil painting) or poetry for possible inclusion in the District’s anniversary edition coffee table book. BY SUBMITTING ARTWORK OR POETRY, YOU ARE ACCEPTING AND AGREEING TO ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

Artwork and poetry submissions for the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District’s coffee table book are open to all participants, including youth artists, from Kindergarten to Grade 12, regardless of residence or citizenship, so long as the laws of their jurisdiction allow participation. Employees and current Board members of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District are not eligible to participate.

YOUR RIGHTS

You will retain all rights to any artwork or poetry you submit—including ownership if applicable—other than those rights licensed in these rules. By submitting artwork or poetry, you hereby grant to the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District:

1. a nonexclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, publicly display, and publicly perform the artwork or poetry you submit to the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, and
2. the right to use your name in promotions and other publications.

LEGAL CONDITIONS

By submitting artwork or poetry, you agree to the Terms and Conditions set out herein and to certain additional legal conditions; see the Artwork & Poetry Submittal Legal Conditions.

Parental Consent
For children (Kindergarten to Grade 12, i.e. under age 18) interested in submitting artwork or poetry, a consent form containing the consent of their parent or legal guardian to the Artwork & Poetry Submittal Terms and Conditions and to the Legal Conditions will need to accompany their submissions.
