Enter Our 2008 Photo Contest

The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District invites photographers to enter its 1st Annual Digital Photography Competition, running August 22, 2008 to November 1, 2008. BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, YOU ARE ACCEPTING AND AGREEING TO ALL RULES, TERMS, AND CONDITIONS ("RULES").

We are seeking compelling digital images of nature, capturing the diversity of our open spaces. Your images may show wildlife, plant life, natural landscapes, weather, or people interacting with nature; however, they must be taken in one of our open space preserves. We are especially interested in images that depict the wide range of habitats across our lands, including riparian, grasslands, chaparral, and redwood environments.

How to Enter (updated 10/20/2008)

Starting August 22, 2008, enter up to five images (per participant): upload your photo(s) to the District's Flickr™ group and tag them with PhotoContest-MROSD08. There is no limit on the number of photos a contest participant may submit. Not familiar with Flickr? Find out more about this easy way to enter.

We do NOT accept entries submitted via email or through the postal mail.

The Fine Print

The contest is open to participants age 18 and older regardless of residence or citizenship, so long as the laws of their jurisdiction allow participation. Employees of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District are not eligible to participate. Photo submissions must be uploaded by 11:59 pm Pacific Standard Time on October 31, 2008.
