Thank you for your interest in the Fourth Annual Digital Photo Contest. As the deadline for this contest was March 18, 2012; we are no longer accepting entries. Winners will be announced in the summer issue of Open Space Views.

4th Annual Digital Photo Contest

The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District invited photographers to enter its 4th Annual Digital Photography Competition, running November 22, 2011 through March18, 2012. BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, YOU ARE ACCEPTING AND AGREEING TO ALL RULES, TERMS, AND CONDITIONS ("RULES").

We are seeking compelling digital images of nature, capturing the diversity of our open spaces. Your images may show wildlife, plant life, natural landscapes, weather, or people interacting with nature; however, they must be taken in one of our open space preserves open to the public.

How to Enter - Introducing Contest Categories!

Starting November 22, 2011, enter up to three images (per participant) by uploading your photo(s) to our SmugMug contest gallery. This year we are introducing contest categories: wildlife, plant life, landscapes, people, and artistic/contemporary. One category per image, please.

We do NOT accept entries submitted via email or through the postal mail.

Although we no longer use Flickr™ to administer District photo contests, we encourage supporters to continue building our online community by also sharing their images of open space on our Openspace.org Flickr™ group. Please read our Flickr™ page for more information.

Highlights

1. Contest runs November 22, 2011 - March 18, 2012.
2. Photos must be taken on District preserves open to the public.
3. At a minimum, please include photographer name and Preserve name in the image upload form. Any additional information (species, trail, etc.) is appreciated.
4. Limit: 3 images per participant. Each image must be entered into one category: wildflife, plant life, landscapes, people, OR artistic/contemporary.
5. District employees are not eligible.
6. As the objective of this contest is to engage new users on District lands, please understand that past contest winners (excluding honorable mentions) are not eligible to win again. Thank you for your cooperation.

The Fine Print

The contest is open to participants regardless of residence or citizenship, so long as the laws of their jurisdiction allow participation. Employees of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District are not eligible to participate. Photo submissions must be uploaded by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on March 18, 2012.
