Midpen has developed various GIS data layers that are available to download for your personal use.  These data layers may help preserve visitors, geocachers, and tech-savvy map enthusiasts plan their outdoor activities. The data, which includes information on District preserve boundaries, parking locations, and trails, may be accessed using Google Earth, GPS devices, GIS programs, and mobile applications.

Data

The data provided below are accurate to the best of our knowledge. Please understand that the District does NOT provide technical support beyond making these files available online. For guidance using Google Earth, please visit Google Earth. For information regarding data import or use on your handheld GPS device, please consult your device manufacturer.

Midpen Trail Maps are now provided in GeoPDF® format to use on a mobile device. You can see your location on the map, view maps offline (without a cell signal or wi-fi), plot placemarks and photo locations, record GPS tracks, and measure distance. Following this map upgrade, Midpen no longer develops or distributes GPS basemaps (IMG files).
