Prior to European settlement, the Bay Area was home to a mosaic of Native American tribal communities; many groups frequented the Santa Cruz Mountains. Join docents Kim Borick & Sarah Schoen for a leisurely paced hike with frequent stops along the Ipiwa & Sunny Jim Trails. We’ll share historical perspectives & you’ll discover what drew these first peoples time & again to these mountains. Appropriate for children aged 12 & older. Bring lunch to enjoy at Alpine Pond following our hike!
