We recognize that everything school related has turned upside down and sideways for over a year. While we have missed sharing in-person discovery and learning with students, our environmental education staff has created an adventurous way to stay connected with children and families over the summer.
Offered to interested teachers and their classes as the school year wound down, a new Midpen virtual field trip, Notes on Habitat, is now available to all. The online lesson can be more play than work and includes a video filmed at Alpine Pond in Skyline Ridge Preserve, along with a downloadable student nature notebook, also available in Spanish. The focus of the fun is on animals and habitats that can be found in open space or even in your own neighborhood!
