You are always welcome to stop by the District office to pick up trail brochures, volunteer information, agendas, and other information. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. Our office is located at 330 Distel Circle, Los Altos.

If you’re not able to make a personal visit to the District office, you can always call us at 650-691-1200, send a fax to 650-691-0485, or send e-mail to info@openspace.org. Please remember to include your complete address if you would like a map or brochure mailed to you.

To report an emergency on District lands call (650) 968-4411.
This is the 24-hour dispatch number for District Rangers. Call this number to report:

• A medical, police, fire or other emergency


• In-progress suspicious activity or crime


• A missing person


• Any urgent situation for which you need immediate assistance

Please have the name of the preserve and your location (ex. the trail you are on, or if you’re in the parking lot) available to assist the dispatcher in sending you the appropriate resources.

To report maintenance needs, or for routine questions or information, call the District’s Administrative Office at (650) 691-1200. This number is answered during regular business hours, and voice mail is available outside of regular hours. E-mail can also be sent to info@openspace.org.
