Be on the front lines and get involved in restoring and maintaining District trails and preserves. Each year the District hosts over 70 fun, educational, and productive outdoor service projects. We have a variety of Preserve Partner volunteer projects, which are posted quarterly.
All minors, under the age of 18, must provide prior parent/guardian approval (signed liability waiver) or be accompanied by a parent/adult for the duration of any volunteer project. Minor children may NOT be dropped off at a project.
The projects on this page are open to individual sign-ups from members of the community; If you have a group interested in volunteering together, visit our Group Volunteer Projects page.

As part of Midpen's response to COVID-19 and required social distancing, Outdoor Service Volunteer Projects are canceled through the end of April. May projects will NOT open for registration on April 1, and will remain closed until we are given the authorization to proceed; an email will be sent to volunteers when this occurs. As with all businesses and agencies, we have been mandated to shut down all but 'essential' functions that cannot be performed from our respective home workspaces. Please refer to the 'office closure, event, and activity cancellations' page for all Midpen updates during this time. (updated March 20, 2020)
