Hidden in the hills above Los Gatos, at the headwaters of San Thomas Aquinas Creek, is a little parking area serving the tiny Overlook Trail. This broad, flat, shady trail welcomes you to explore and enjoy the oak woodlands with Docent Naturalists Frances Reneau and Annie Guo. Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after February 24 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and close March 7 at 2:00 p.m.

Where to Meet

Meet at the parking lot located at the northeast corner of Highway 9 and Santa Cruz Avenue in Los Gatos. The sign at the lot says: “Northside lot - Free Parking.” Take Highway 17 south toward Los Gatos.  Exit at Hwy. 9-Los Gatos/Saratoga and continue west on Hwy. 9 (approximately 0.33 miles) to the parking lot, located on your right just before Santa Cruz Ave. Participants will carpool to the activity location.

To ensure your experience on a docent naturalist outing is enjoyable please review these activity guidelines.

If your activity requires registration, please be sure to cancel your reservation (from your confirmation email) if you are no longer able to attend so others can participate.
