Did you know that locals in Saratoga once had a two-day-long party to celebrate a road? Those party animals! Join Docent Naturalists Bobbie Riedel and Nancy Weintraub for a moderately-paced ramble along the old Saratoga Toll Road. You’ll start among the conifers of the Nutmeg and Red Mountain trails before crossing Highway 9 to discover this re-purposed hiking and riding trail and learn a little of its history.

Where to Meet

Meet at Caltran's Saratoga Gap Vista Point Parking Area on the southeast corner of the Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) and Highway 9 intersection.

To ensure your experience on a docent naturalist outing is enjoyable please review these activity guidelines.
