San Francisco Bay is the largest estuary on the Pacific Coast and millions of birds stop here every winter as they migrate along the great Pacific Flyway, a bird flight path in the sky. You can see this incredible phenomenon for yourself at one of our two amazing winter bird activities taking place at Stevens Creek Shoreline Nature Area.  Both are kid-friendly and include leisurely walks. Winter Birds by the Bay (1/9) is perfect for beginner birders and children who can walk 2+ miles, or you can join Explorer Hike: Winter Waterfowl (1/26), a quest to see feathered friends from near and far.
