Join Docent Naturalists Frances Reneau and Nancy Weintraub for the 22nd hike in the “All Preserves” series to celebrate Midpen’s 50th anniversary on this out-and-back route along the Lost Trail with minimal elevation gain or loss. The hike, nestled in the often fog-shrouded Douglas fir trees features both lush vegetation and great views out across the valley. When viewed from a distance this Preserve forms a distinctive, treeless, bald grassy knob perched above Portola Valley.

Meet at the Upper Spring Ridge Roadside Parking on Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35), just north of Spring Ridge Trail head.
