Join Midpen's Volunteer Interpretive Lead Catherine Caldwell, Interpretive Specialist Katie Renz, and Docent Naturalists Jessica Kolla and Alison Thompson for a fun morning learning about restoration work and connecting to nature. First you'll get hands-on with a little nonnative, invasive plant removal. This will be followed by an interpretive hike around Horseshoe Lake to observe different plants and animals and learn about the interdependencies in action in honor of California Biodiversity Week. This activity is an excellent opportunity for new outdoor enthusiasts and first-time habitat restoration volunteers! Sign-ups are required and will be available on Wednesday, August 6.
