Boxing Day in Nature

10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Monte Bello Preserve
Approximate Total Miles
3.5

Have you ever noticed how calm and grounded you feel after spending time in a forest, by the sea, or under a big tree? That feeling is not a coincidence! Spend the day after Christmas, Britain’s Boxing Day holiday, reflecting in nature on this moderately-paced hike. You’ll explore the different ways nature offers a healing environment for the human mind and body with Docent Naturalists Bobbie Riedel, Nancy Weintraub, and Nick Yatsko. Your route will include The Stevens Creek Nature, Canyon, and Lost Creek Loop trails as you meander from Monte Bello Preserve to Los Trancos Preserve.

Where to Meet

Meet at the Monte Bello Parking Area on Page Mill Road (across from Los Trancos Preserve), 7 miles west of I-280 or 1.5 miles east of Skyline Boulevard. Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 35 minutes travel time.

To ensure your experience on a docent naturalist outing is enjoyable please review these activity guidelines.
