Take a break from the heat and busy life to experience the welcome cool of the forest on this moderately-paced hike starting along the Peters Creek Trail. Led by Docent Naturalists Marie Faust Evitt, Catherine Crawford-Swent, Bobbie Riedel, and Nancy Weintraub, you’ll enjoy the serenity of Jikoji Pond before gradually climbing up to Long Ridge Road. From the Wallace Stegner bench, you’ll appreciate the view westward towards the coast while eating a snack from home. You’ll finish your on-trail retreat by circling back through the woods, refreshed and energized.
Meet at Peters Creek Roadside Parking, on the west side of Skyline Boulevard, 3.6 miles north of Highway 9 or 3.3 miles south of Page Mill Road.
