What can you tell about the flora, fauna, and habitat by just looking down? Join Docent Naturalists Nancy Weintraub, Helena Cohen, Marie Faust Evitt, and Anouchka Gaillard and practice your observational skills as you "don't look up" while exploring the Douglas fir and redwood forests. Your route includes the Sierra Moreno, Oljon, Steam Donkey, Gordon Mill, Timberview, and Methuselah trails. On this moderately-paced hike, you’ll wonder about what falls from the trees and bushes in autumn. What are the signs of the animals roaming the preserves? And what about signs of other humans? You’ll have an opportunity to see, feel, and hear the undergrowth as you discover these habitats from the ground up.
