Join docents John Seyfarth and Helena Cohen for a fun and educational hike along the San Andreas Fault. You'll stop to discuss the wonder of plate tectonics, examine remnants left by thousands of major earthquakes, and learn how to prepare for future earthquakes. (Note: Families with engaged children who are attentive listeners and capable of hiking several miles are welcome on this leisurely-paced outing with minimal elevation change.) Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after October 24 and close on November 5 at 2:00 p.m.

Note: Regardless of vaccination status, all activity participants will be required to wear a mask when physical distancing cannot be maintained. Please review the additional COVID-19 safety protocols provided when you register for an activity.

Meet at Los Trancos Parking Area on Page Mill Road (across from Monte Bello Preserve), 7 miles west of I-280 or 1.5 miles east of Skyline Boulevard. Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 35 minutes travel time.
