Approximate Total Miles

Start the new year off with a hike along the Resolution Trail. Join Docent Naturalists Mary Brunkhorst, Kate Bauer, and Nick Yatsko for a moderately-paced climb along the Tafoni, Fir, and Methuselah Trails. Over a total elevation gain of 700 feet, you’ll walk through deep forests, earn views of the ocean from a vista point, and visit the rare Tafoni sandstone formation. You'll enjoy lunch at a scenic spot along the trail.

Where to Meet

Meet at the Caltrans Skeggs Point Parking Area on the east side of Skyline Boulevard, about 4 miles north of La Honda Road (Highway 84) and 1.5 miles south of Kings Mountain Road.  Please note that Caltrans prohibits a left turn into the parking lot when approaching from the north along Skyline Blvd.
