Explorer Hike: New Years Resolutions

10:30 am - 2:30 pm
El Corte de Madera Creek Preserve
Approximate Total Miles

Start the new year off with an inspiring and invigorating hike along the Resolution Trail. Join Docent Naturalists Mary Brunkhorst, Kate Bauer, and Nick Yatsko for a moderately-paced climb along the Tafoni, Fir, and Resolution trails. You’ll walk through deep forests and enjoy the views from the vista point, as well as make a visit to the tafoni sandstone if time allows. This route has about 800 feet of elevation gain; bring a snack or lunch for a short break.

Where to Meet

Meet at the Caltrans Skeggs Point Parking Area on the east side of Skyline Boulevard, about 4 miles north of La Honda Road (Highway 84) and 1.5 miles south of Kings Mountain Road.  Please note that Caltrans prohibits a left turn into the parking lot when approaching from the north along Skyline Blvd.

To ensure your experience on a docent naturalist outing is enjoyable please review these activity guidelines.
