Embark on a moderately-paced hike with Docent Naturalists Kate Bauer and Nick Yatsko as you explore the southern edge of this biodiverse preserve. You'll learn about some of the native trees and shrubs as you hike the Skyline-to-the-Sea Trail through lovely mixed evergreen forests to reach the Sempervirens Vista Point. From this lookout, you’ll relax for a lunch break while taking in the expansive view of the Santa Cruz Mountains descending toward the sea. You’ll return via the Summit Meadows Trail for a total of approximately 400-feet of elevation gain.
Meet at Caltran's Saratoga Gap Vista Point Parking Area on the southeast corner of the Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) and Highway 9 intersection.
