Enjoy wide views of the ocean and forested valleys along the Ipiwa Trail with Docent Naturalists Mary Brunkhorst, Nick Yatsko, and Kate Bauer. You’ll take a leisurely-paced trek through a mosaic of habitats including chaparral, mixed evergreen forest, and oak woodlands on your way to a lunch stop at Alpine Pond. Head back via Sunny Jim and Ridge trails with a stop at Horseshoe Lake.

Where to Meet

Meet at the Skyline Ridge Circle Parking Area on Skyline Boulevard located one mile south of the Skyline Blvd. (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection. After entering the preserve, turn right and go to the farthest parking area. Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 45 minutes travel time.
