Family Nature Journaling

Sunday, September 21, 2025
10:00 am - 11:00 am
Ravenswood Preserve
Approximate Total Miles
0.5

Learn to start nature journaling as a family with Docent Naturalists Jennifer Anthony, Naureen Moon, and Jessica Kolla! All ages are invited, and children don't need to be able to read or write to participate. Please bring journals and/or paper and pencils for all of those in your family who would like to join the nature journaling fun. You will not be going on a formal hike but will be encouraged to meander around the picnic benches and get inspiration from the native plants, beautiful views of the bay, and ecological connections in action. (Note: Meet at the picnic tables at Cooley Landing.)

Where to Meet

Meet at the Ravenswood Parking Area. From Highway 101, exit on University Avenue. Follow University Ave. north (about four long blocks) to Bay Road.  Turn right on Bay Rd. and follow it to the very end (about 1.2 miles).  The preserve entrance and parking lot are marked with large signs.

To ensure your experience on a docent naturalist outing is enjoyable please review these activity guidelines.
