Long Ridge Preserve
Approximate Total Miles
4

Join Docent Naturalists Bobbie Riedel and Mike Lohr to explore the less-traveled trails of this preserve on a moderately-paced hike. You'll discover portions of the preserve that interconnect with other open space areas, and learn about native plants and the wildlife they support. As you hike along the Skyline-to-the-Sea and the Nutmeg trails, you'll catch views of the Deep Gulch ravine and the ridge for which the preserve is named.

Where to Meet

Meet at the Sempervirens Point Parking Area on Highway 9/Big Basin Way. This lot is 2 miles southwest of the Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) junction.

Coming from the north on Highway 35, turn right onto CA-9S/Big Basin Way and then turn left into the lot.
