Loop on a Leash Hike

October 13, 2022
10:00 am - 11:30 am
St. Joseph's Hill Preserve
Approximate Total Miles
3.2

Leash up your four-footed friend and hit the trail on this moderately-paced loop hike! You'll walk along the Jones, Manzanita, and Novitiate trails and back to the parking lot as Docent Naturalist Mary Ann Frank and Interpretive Specialist Ellen Tjosvold guide you and your canine companion to see (and smell) the preserve’s natural surroundings on this fall excursion.

Please bring water for yourself and your dog. All dogs must be on a leash and well-behaved and socialized; please be prepared to carry out dog waste. Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after September 29 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and close October 12 at 2:00 p.m.

Where to Meet

Meet at the County boat launch parking lot next to the Lexington Reservoir Dam. From southbound Highway 17, take the Bear Creek Road exit, cross over the highway, and go 0.4 miles north on Highway 17 to Alma Bridge Road. Follow Alma Bridge Rd. over the top of the dam. Continue beyond the dam as the road jogs to the right.  Turn right into the parking lot just before the road veers to the left. A Santa Clara County Park parking fee is in effect.
