Mindful Movement

Tuesday, February 17, 2026
10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Skyline Ridge Preserve
Approximate Total Miles
2.5

Experience the calming environment of Horseshoe Lake on a midwinter morning. Docent Naturalists An Scharlaken, Jim McNulty, and Jennifer Anthony will lead you in two meditation activities, followed by another two stops for movement activities. These grounding practices will be bookended by a check-in circle. Depending on the weather, you’ll have two options for this leisurely-paced walk and stops: either an easy stroll around Horseshoe Lake or a moderate climb up the Ipiwa Trail to a lookout point. Bring lunch or a snack.

Where to Meet

Meet at the Skyline Ridge Circle Parking Area on Skyline Boulevard located one mile south of the Skyline Blvd. (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection. After entering the preserve, turn right and go to the farthest parking area. Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 45 minutes travel time.

To ensure your experience on a docent naturalist outing is enjoyable please review these activity guidelines.
