Celebrate National Take a Hike Day with a fall afternoon hike to the top of Windy Hill. Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome, though you don’t have to bring a four-legged friend to join! Docent Naturalists Sabra Abraham and Padma Satish will lead you on this vigorously-paced climb up the Hamms Gulch Trail and return via the Spring Ridge Trail. This will likely be a quiet time in this typically busy preserve and a wonderful opportunity to explore this landscape. Bring a snack for a short break.

Where to Meet

The Lower Windy Hill Parking Area at the lower portion of the preserve is located on Portola Road. Please note: This parking lot fills quickly. Please do not park on Portola Road: parking is strictly enforced.

To ensure your experience on a docent naturalist outing is enjoyable please review these activity guidelines.
