Humans aren’t the only ones who make art. Come marvel at nature’s sand sculptures with Docent Naturalists Roberta and Jaime Cavazos and Casey Litton on a leisurely-paced, family-friendly hike. Along the gently sloped Tafoni Trail you’ll look for other amazing works of art in addition to visiting the otherworldly tafoni sandstone formation. Bring a light snack to enjoy as you admire these natural creations.

Where to Meet

Meet at the Caltrans Skeggs Point Parking Area on the east side of Skyline Boulevard, about 4 miles north of La Honda Road (Highway 84) and 1.5 miles south of Kings Mountain Road.  Please note that Caltrans prohibits a left turn into the parking lot when approaching from the north along Skyline Blvd.
