Opt Outside Sensory Celebration

Friday, November 28, 2025
9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Windy Hill Preserve
Approximate Total Miles
5.5

On this day after Thanksgiving, explore the five senses with Docent Naturalists Bobbie Riedel, Katie Wilson, and Catherine Xun. You’ll hike the Lost Trail listening for bird song, feeling the moisture of the woodlands, smelling the fragrance of native plants, and soaking in the views. This is a moderately-paced, out-and-back hike. Come ready to explore the sensory experience of the natural world.

Where to Meet

From the intersection of Highway 84 and Skyline Blvd. (Hwy 35), head south on Skyline Blvd. for 2.3 miles. Picnic Tables Roadside Parking (Highway 35) is just south of the Anniversary trailhead. You'll see parking and a bathroom on the east side of the road and a large pull-out area (where it is okay to park) on the west side.

To ensure your experience on a docent naturalist outing is enjoyable please review these activity guidelines.
