Follow Docent Naturalists Bobbie Riedel, Nick Yatsko and Kate Bauer on this moderately-paced hike along the Harrington Creek Trail to explore the lower to central La Honda Creek Preserve. You’ll have access to a closed portion of this Preserve. Learn about coastal grasslands and how conservation grazing supports the management and recovery of endangered, threatened and special-status species that need the grassland habitat. You’ll also witness the La Honda Creek, a shaded redwood forest, a pond, and have opportunities to spot unique fauna and expansive viewpoints along the way.
(Note: A large section of this hike is on a rough unimproved trail with some exposed and steep uphill sections. Bring a snack and plenty of water). Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after September 27 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and close October 10 at 2:00 p.m.
