Spend a few hours with Docent Naturalist Nirvair Singh Bhinder in the company of the forest's true heroes—the redwoods. You’ll go on a moderately-paced hike making several stops on the Upper Pete Siemens Trail, including one where two old-growth giants still tower high above. You'll learn how these amazing trees support their namesake ecosystem in multiple ways. The route is a good climb (approximately 600 feet) but mainly stays beneath the canopy. Bring a snack. (Note: This is a very busy preserve; carpooling and early arrival are highly encouraged.)
