Join Docent Naturalists Greg Azevedo and Ping Li for a unique outing around the lower area of Mount Umunhum via the Umunhum, Barlow Road, and Woods trails. This leisurely to moderately-paced, mostly downhill hike will have many short breaks, wildflowers, and wonderful views. Several trail sections are steep with varied surfaces.
 

(Note: You’ll meet at the Jacques Ridge Parking Area and you'll carpool to the Bald Mountain Parking Area.)
Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after June 4 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and close June 16 at 2:00 p.m

Where to Meet

For this activity at Sierra Azul, park in the equestrian lot at Almaden Quicksilver County Park. The Wood Road entrance is accessed off Hicks Road. From Highway 85 take the Camden Avenue exit south. Turn right on Hicks Road and follow for 6 miles. At the intersection of Wood Road and Hicks Road, turn left into the staging / parking area for the county park.
