What will you encounter with Docent Naturalists John Seyfarth and Sarah Schoen on this leisurely-paced morning nature hike high above the valley? You'll enjoy spectacular views along the Ipiwa and Sunny Jim trails while exploring four very different habitats, discovering plants and their adaptations, and looking for resident animals (or their signs). Along the way you'll be entertained by stories about the cultural history of the preserve. Capable, attentive children 10 years and older are welcome.

Where to Meet

For this activity at Skyline Ridge Preserve, meet at the Russian Ridge Parking Area on the northwest corner of the Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection (across Skyline Blvd. on the right). Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 40 minutes travel time.
