Enjoy the first day of April out in the open space with Docent Naturalists Lindsay Joye, Sabra Abraham, and Bobbie Riedel. You’ll learn about the local flora and fauna as you hike along the Zinfandel and Vista trails searching for a colorful array of early spring wildflowers and looking for newt eggs in the seasonal pond. You'll take a brief snack break at the picnic tables at Stevens Creek County Park before returning to the parking area.

Where to Meet

Meet at the preserve parking lot on Montebello Road. From the intersection of I-280 and Foothill Expressway, go 3.5 miles southwest (toward the mountains) on Foothill Boulevard/Stevens Canyon Road.  Turn right on Montebello Rd.  The preserve is 0.5 miles up Montebello Rd. on the left.
