Teague Hill Preserve
Approximate Total Miles
7

Explore this seldom traveled preserve, traversing diverse habitats such as grassland, riparian, and mixed evergreen forest with Docent Naturalists Anouchka Gaillard, Peter Maxwell, and Inga Buyse. What wildlife and winter changes will you see? You’ll begin this moderately-paced, “lollipop” route on Skyline Blvd., reaching the official preserve via the Skyline Trail. From there, you’ll make a loop clockwise. This fun trek includes 1,500 feet of elevation change. (Note: There are some steeper sections—bring hiking poles if you use them.) Bring a picnic lunch or snack for a refueling stop along the way.
