Trail Treks, scheduled on the fourth Thursday, provide exercise-focused hikes and opportunities to discover Midpen's beautiful preserves.

Join Docent Naturalists Anouchka Gaillard, Nick Yatsko, Nancy Weintraub, and Bobbie Riedel for a 5.5 mile trek with approximately 1100 feet elevation loss and gain. You’ll head out on the Tafoni Trail, make a short detour to see the Tafoni Sandstone formation, and continue on the Fir and Resolution trails. You’ll close the loop by returning on El Corte de Madera Creek trail. Please bring your own lunch/snacks and water. Note: there is no restroom at the trailhead.

Where to Meet

Meet at the Caltrans Skeggs Point Parking Area on the east side of Skyline Boulevard, about 4 miles north of La Honda Road (Highway 84) and 1.5 miles south of Kings Mountain Road.  Please note that Caltrans prohibits a left turn into the parking lot when approaching from the north along Skyline Blvd.
