Trail Treks, scheduled on the last Thursday, provide exercise-focused hikes and opportunities to discover Midpen's beautiful preserves.
Join Docent Naturalists Nick Yatsko, Bobbie Riedel, and Nancy Weintraub for a moderately-paced loop through chaparral and oak woodlands above Lexington Reservoir. You’ll hike about 1,200 feet in elevation along the Limekiln and Priest Rock trails to gain excellent views of the reservoir. (Note: Please leave extra time to park and meet at the Limekiln Trailhead.)
Meet at the Limekiln Trail Parking Area, which is on Alma Bridge Road near Lexington Reservoir. From southbound Highway 17, exit at Bear Creek Road; turn right at the stop sign, drive across Hwy. 17 on the overpass, turn left and enter Hwy. 17 North for 0.5 miles before exiting onto Alma Bridge Road. From northbound Hwy. 17, exit the highway at Alma Bridge Road. Once on Alma Bridge Road, travel 1.2 miles around to the east side of Lexington Reservoir; the parking area in on the right just past Limekiln Canyon Road.
