Trail Trek Thursday

Thursday, May 28, 2026
9:00 am - 12:30 pm
Fremont Older Preserve
Approximate Total Miles
5.5

Trail Treks, scheduled on the last Thursday, provide exercise-focused hikes and opportunities to discover Midpen's beautiful preserves.
Join Docent Naturalists Bobbie Riedel, Nancy Weintraub and Nick Yatsko for a moderately-paced trek starting from Stevens Creek County Park. You’ll hike the Stevens Creek Tony Look Trail to get to Midpen’s Fremont Older Preserve, then continue along the Coyote Ridge and Vista Loop trails to complete the circuit. You'll experience views of the reservoir, grassland hilltops, and the sweep of Silicon Valley before returning through oak woodlands.

Where to Meet

Meet at the lot for the Madrone Picnic Area at Stevens Creek County Park. From Interstate 280, drive 4.2 miles on Foothill Blvd. (which turns into Stevens Canyon Road) and turn left into the lot.
