Trail Trek Thursday provides exercise-focused hikes and opportunities to discover Midpen's beautiful preserves.

Join Docent Naturalists Nancy Weintraub, Nick Yatsko, and Lindsay Joye for a moderately-paced out-and-back trek along the lesser-traveled Old Page Mill Road. You’ll hike down a gentle fireroad through mixed evergreen forest and chaparral studded with sandstone rock outcrops. On the return, you’ll climb 600 feet back to Alpine Pond and the parking area.

Where to Meet

For this activity at Skyline Ridge Preserve, meet at the Russian Ridge Parking Area on the northwest corner of the Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection (across Skyline Blvd. on the right). Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 40 minutes travel time.
