Trees of Fall

Fall is a season famous for its leaves. Even though most tree species in the Santa Cruz Mountains don’t change leaf color as dramatically as the ones on the East Coast do, there are still beautiful autumnal transitions in our local woodlands and forests. Join Docent Naturalists Roberta and Jaime Cavazos and Catherine Xun on a family-friendly, leisurely-paced hike looking at this season’s trees and discovering what is living in and around them. Brink a snack to enjoy during a short break.

Where to Meet

Meet at Los Trancos Parking Area on Page Mill Road (across from Monte Bello Preserve), 7 miles west of I-280 or 1.5 miles east of Skyline Boulevard. Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 35 minutes travel time.
