Docent Naturalists Renée Fitzsimons, Dave Kocsis, and Cathy Brown are ready to guide you on a "twilight into night" nature experience along the Sunny Jim and Horseshoe Loop trails. This leisurely-paced discovery walk will focus on listening, observing, and feeling the shift that occurs as wildlife, the sky, and people adjust to the onset darkness ... owls may hoot, bats may forage, and the constellations may have stories to share. Children 10 years and older are welcome. Bring a flashlight. Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after July 25 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and close August 7 at 2:00 p.m.

Where to Meet

Meet at the Skyline Ridge Circle Parking Area on Skyline Boulevard located one mile south of the Skyline Blvd. (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection. After entering the preserve, turn right and go to the farthest parking area. Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 45 minutes travel time.
