Join Docent Naturalists Susan Dunn, Catherine Xun, and Bobbie Riedel to explore land that has been grazed by cattle since the time of the Mexican vaqueros to the present day. You’ll hike the Mindego Hill Trail out and back, enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding hills along the way and stopping to discuss grassland ecology and Midpen’s conservation grazing program. This moderately-paced hike includes about 1000 feet of elevation gain. Bring a lunch or snack to enjoy at the turnaround point.
