On this moderately-paced hike you'll explore a chilly evergreen forest that alternates with dry open chaparral terrain and observe the native flora that grow in these different habitats. With Docent Naturalists Susan Bernhard, Maureen Draper, and Noa Doitel as your guides, you'll learn about the water cycle, and how the trees and fog help 'water' the surrounding garden of native plants, and observe how many native plants get a jumpstart on growing quite early in the year. Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after January 26 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and close February 8 at 2:00 p.m.
From the intersection of Highway 84 and Skyline Blvd. (Hwy 35), head south on Skyline Blvd. for 2.3 miles. Picnic Tables Roadside Parking (Highway 35) is just south of the Anniversary trailhead. You'll see parking and a bathroom on the east side of the road and a large pull-out area (where it is okay to park) on the west side.
