Take a break from it all by exploring the land near the ridge of the Santa Cruz Mountains under the cool shade of redwood trees. Led by Docent Naturalists Anouchka Gaillard, Peter Maxwell, and Nick Yatsko, you’ll hike a loop that stops at awe-inspiring natural phenomena including the Methuselah Tree and the Tafoni sandstone formation. After an early lunch break, you’ll close the loop via the Resolution and El Corte de Madera Creek trails. This moderately-paced route has moderate elevation change and traverses woodland and riparian habitats, allowing you to observe how water availability is impacting the flora, fauna, and overall habitat.
