Join Docent Naturalists Roberta and Jaime Cavazos, Marie Faust Evitt, and Ben Jackson on a family-oriented, fun-filled investigation to discover who is back at the pond after the winter. Have the frogs returned? Are the newts hanging out? What about the dragonflies and butterflies? This is a leisurely-paced activity along the Zinfandel and Vista trails. Bring a light snack to enjoy as you learn about who calls this aquatic habitat home.

Where to Meet

Meet at the preserve parking lot on Montebello Road. From the intersection of I-280 and Foothill Expressway, go 3.5 miles southwest (toward the mountains) on Foothill Boulevard/Stevens Canyon Road.  Turn right on Montebello Rd.  The preserve is 0.5 miles up Montebello Rd. on the left.
