[Contact Director Siemens]

Pete Siemens was born in San Francisco and raised in the Central Valley. Pete received a Bachelor of Science in math from Fresno State University and spent his early working career in the Santa Clara Valley as a rocket test engineer. Currently, Pete is a consultant in test-system design for medical implants.

Before serving as a Midpen board director, Pete served the Town of Los Gatos as a council member and mayor, planning commissioner, and hillside study committee member. Pete also helped initiate the first joint project between the Town of Los Gatos and Midpen to purchase St. Joseph’s Hill Open Space Preserve and recently advocated for a joint land purchase with Saratoga to help make the Saratoga-To-The-Sea trail possible. Pete has served on the Los Gatos Trails Committee, and was also a member on the Santa Clara County Transportation Commission for 10 years.

In addition to service on the board, Pete has engaged in several volunteer projects, including restoration of the Grant Cabin at Rancho San Antonio, redesign and rebuilding of the electronics for the kids interactive pond display at the Daniels Nature Center, and design and replacement of the sound system in the boardroom. Pete and his wife Diane occasionally volunteer at the Daniels Nature Center to welcome visitors.

Pete and his wife Diane are long time Los Gatos homeowners, having had two children graduate from Los Gatos schools, both of whom are now grown and are both teachers. As a hobby, Pete participates in road-track time trials, and instructs novice drivers.
