Project Open House and Online Questionnaire
Informational Open House at Trailhead on Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Join us anytime to learn more, ask questions and provide your input. The open house will be at the Kennedy Trailhead located at the intersection of Kennedy and Top of the Hill roads.
Improvements may include an expanded parking area to accommodate more vehicles, a vault toilet facility, bike parking, enhanced ADA accessibility and additional trailhead amenities. Currently, the parking area can accommodate three vehicles and features a temporary restroom. Vehicle demand often exceeds parking availability, resulting in vehicles parking along Kennedy and Top of the Hill Roads.

The project was put on-hold while staff evaluated an expanded parking lot to address community concerns about parking and access. Goals
The replacement of the temporary restroom currently in place at the Kennedy Trailhead has been put on hold. The project originally included:
- Installation of an ADA accessible restroom
- Addition of an ADA van-accessible parking stall
- Construction of an accessible path of travel to the restroom, trailhead and signboards to meet ADA and CBC requirements.
- Sign and driveway improvements at the Kennedy Road right-of-way
This project is included in Midpen’s Vision Plan, a 40-year, community-driven roadmap outlining 54 priorities to preserve a regional greenbelt, protect natural environments, and promote sustainable agriculture and public access.
