Hikers enjoying sunset sky at Monte Bello Preserve

Docent-Led Activities

Sunset hikers at Monte Bello Preserve (Karl Gohl)

All Midpen guided activities are developed and provided by docent naturalists who have completed an extensive training program. Our docents volunteer their time to share knowledge and enthusiasm with you about the natural and cultural history of Midpen preserves. All guided activities are FREE and only some require reservations – please click on a specific activity title to determine if reservations are needed. The system will accept reservations two weeks in advance of an activity date and allows a maximum of 4 people per reservation. Please be sure to cancel your reservation (from your confirmation email) if you are no longer able to attend so others can participate.

Heavy rain cancels hike activities unless otherwise noted in the description.
